Personal Project Goals

For this project my personal goals are to surpass the usability of this product. Some key specifications that we should be looking to outperform or at least match are: (1) the accuracy being plus/minus 0.2 inches (2) The speed of this measurement (3) having various units of measurements (4) Height range of at least 9 feet.

Some aspects that I think our product can outdo this design is in user friendliness and mobility. The pediatric center can get very busy at time and the current stadiometers are in high traffic area. It will be key for the measurement to be done quickly, and I believe if we can create a device that is lightweight, mobile, and durable it can be very useful for the pediatrics center. Also, Niki Saxena said that she would love if the device could make readings such as where a child's height stands compared to other children their age. I think this would be a great addition to our technology.
